Awburn is a Fire type Kinfolk. It can evolve into Kainite or Embear by leveling up.
Appearance & Personality
Awburn is a small, fluffy Kinfolk, somewhere between a bear cub and a wolf pup in appearance. Around its neck, its mane emits a warm glow that glows vibrant colors. Its small body is covered in soft orange fur along its front with red fur along the top of its head, its back, its tail and dotting its ears. The ears are rounded and folded over, resembling button ears. With the tail being rather short, yet poofy and ball-like. The tips of the paws, snout and the front of their belly are instead covered in whiter peach-like fur. Despite its small front and hindlegs, Awburn is very capable at running both quadrupedally and bipedally, often alternating between the two depending on the circumstances or the attack it performs. Its capable of performing surprisingly quick maneuvers despite its stature.

Trivia
- Kickstarter backers of the Companion tier and higher received a limited edition Awburn plushie, which will never be manufactured again.
- Awburn was the first Kinfolk to be created, and is the unofficial mascot of Kindred Fates.
- Early in development it was confirmed that Awburn was not a "starter" kinfolk.
- Awburn briefly suffered from a particularly entertaining bug during development. Since Awburn and Embear's rigs share the same references the developers tried using Embear's strafing animation on Awburn. The video of the bug is in the video section.
- Due to this bug, Awburn has been dubbed as long boi/Longburn as a meme on the official Discord server.
